Here is the fantasy trade I was offered: Stephen Jackson for Carson Palmer. My backup QB would be Delhomme. Early in the year, we would have said no way... but at this point, that sounds like a fair trade. Delhomme has been pretty disappointing, but we have a feeling the Panthers will play better the second half.
How about this for a fantasy football trade?!? I give up Tom Brady and Tomlinson for Peyton manning and Larry Johnson, Why? What purpose does this trade serve? Its just 2 studs for 2 studs. The only way this trade will make a difference is if someone gets hurt. If you want to gamble on that, make the trade for the heck of it.
My team totally sucks! We can keep one guy for next year. My best player is Harrison. Is he worth keeping, or should I try and trade up for another keeper? We suggest a trade up. Find a contender who needs WR help and see if you can get a grade A back. Harrison ain't getting any younger.
I am horrible at QB. Do I continue to play Chad P, or should I pick up Leinart and try him out. Leinart against the Bears... no way. Plus Fitzgerald is hurt. Is there a Plan C!!
The Steelers are looking bad. I can dump Willie Parker for Shockey. Do I take it? My TE stinks. Nah.. The Steelers will start doing better. The first part of their schedule was brutal.
Here is the trade I was offered... Reggie Wayne for Javon Walker. We say no. Wayne has been hard luck on gettings TD's thus far, but he has got tons of looks and catches. We think the TDs will start coming.
Should I give up Hines Ward for Deshaun Foster? The Steelers will get in together. Hang on to Hines.
I can get Harrison AND Dunn for LT and Drew Bennet. What do you think? There aren't many time we would recommend giving up LT, but this may be one. Go for it.
I was offered Vick for Daunte and Keyshawn. Any reason not to take this deal? Obviously, the other guy is really banking on Daunte turning it around. Even if he does, chance are he wont be much more valuable than Vick. Take the deal.
I get Ronnie Brown, but give up Terry Glenn. My other backs are Foster and McGhee. No deal. Foster looks like he is going to lose carries and Glenn will get more looks with Owens out for a few weeks.
I was offered Moss for Reggie Wayne No. How can you even consider that after what the Raiders looked like on Monday night?
I have been offered Rudi Johnson and Torry Holt for Steven Alexander. Should I bite? Yes.. IF Holt is a significant upgrade for you at WR. Without knowing your other wideouts, we cant say for sure. But we lean YES.
I need a backup QB and can choose between Favre and Kitna. Wow... has Favre slipped that much that he is available as a free agent in leagues? I guess so. Kitna has not done jack his entire career. Take Favre and hope for the best... as in never needing to use him.
Straight up. I get Delhomme for Dante. Carolina is a strong SB contender and Jake is dependable. Dante will never be the runner he once was. We think he is getting over-hyped. Take the deal.
My draft left me weak at RB, but strong at WR. I can get Ronnie Brown for Reggie Wayne. Should I do it? We think Wayne is going to have a huge year, but you have to have 2 solids starting RB's to have a chance. Grab Ronnie and hope you can scrape up a free agent WR and get lucky.
Will Moss have a comeback year? There is a good chance he will improve on last years pathetic numbers, but the Raiders are not a good team. We doubt Moss will have a huge season. Third round pick.
What do you think of Santonio Holmes as a late sleeper WR? We don't think much. A rookie WR on the run heavy Steelers.... maybe as a late, lete, late round sleeper.
If Palmer is there in round 2, should I take him (assuming Manning is gone) Wow. Second round just seems to early for a guy coming off a tore up knee. Yes he seems confident, but until he plays hard on it, you dont know how it will react. And sometimes they end up hurting something else because they are favoring the injury. If its late second round maybe. Third round yes.
I just found out I draft last in round 1. I get back to back picks and will go RB/QB. Who would you anticipate there? Depending on how quick the RB's get taken, you might still see Edge there along with Tom Brady. Brady suprised many with his points last year. We see him playing solid again.

I am in the league championship mainly because of my strong RB's. Which 2 of these 3 do I start? Larry Johnson, Edge, Alexander Larry is automatic because KC still has a lot on the line. The other option isn't as easy. We have a feeling that Alexander is a stat hog and will get more carries than Edge. Go with him.
Big choice for me at QB this week. Hasselback at Titans or Plummer at Bills? Bills have a horrific defense, however this comes down to weather. It can be downright nasty in Buffalo and passing could be tough.. Hasselback seems like the better choice.

If I lose this week, I miss the playoffs. Should I starts Collins against the Chargers or Rothlisberger against the Bengals.

-Brad K

Chargers get yet another big game at home. We think they will shut down Collins. Ben should have some success against the weak Bengals secondary.
I need a win bad this week. Should I play Terry Glenn?

Yes. He isn't hurt, and they always take a couple chances with him deep each game. It just hasn't clicked the last couple weeks. He is still a good start.

Would you play Hinews Ward with Maddox starting? Heck No.
I can get Harrison for C Johnson and Jeff Reed, straight up. Nah. Marvin is a lock. So many owners are frustrated with the lack of yards, but he will get his. Getting a kicker is irrelevant.
I can get Antonio Gates and Santana Moss for Shaun Alexander. If I bite, I am left with Ricky Williams and Tiki at RB. Ricky actually got a TD against the Falcons. He is probably finally getting in game shape. The deal sounds pretty good. We don't trust Moss though. Too much history of being a scrub.
Its getting down to crunch time in our league and I'm afraid I may miss the playoffs. What should I do with Moss? Not much you can do. He plays when he isn't supposed to. He sits when he is supposed to play. Nobody will offer you value in a trade. All you can do is keep your fingers crossed.
Is Jerome Bettis worth picking up? I would have to drop Foster. The Bus ran wild the second half of last year after sitting out most of the first half. History could repeat. Foster isn't doing anything unless Davis gets hurt. Pick him up.

Big offer on the table. I was offered Palmer and T Owens for S Alexander.

- T Bone

Take it. Alexander will not keep up this torrid pace
I was offered Terry Glenn and Ravens defense for J Jones. Thoughts? We just don't buy into Bledsoe and Glenn kepping up these big numbers. Ravens D aint what it was. Stick with JJ.
What should I do with Tony G? I am tempted to flat out dump him! 100's of questions this week on Tony. Trade him or dump him or keep him?? Gotta ride on the sttorm on this one. It can only get better.
I can get Correy Dillon for Randy Moss. What's your take? That is really a toss up. Dillon ran well against the Steelers on Sunday. One of the few times he has ever had succes against then. Moss has been getting 100 yards every game. It really depends on your depth, but all things being equal, we favor Randy slightly.
I was offered S Jackson and Burress for J Jones and Reggie Wayne. What do you think? Don't do it. Jackson doesnt look real good so far, and the Colts will start lighting it up again soon.
I thought L Coles was going to have a nice comeback season. I have some trade interest. Should I make a move? We thought Coles and Chad would be a hit also. Too early to give up on the Jets. Give them a couple more weeks. The payoff could be huge.
I need RB help bad and just missed out on grabbing Parker. Do you think I should offer up Tony Gonzalez for him? Yes. Anytime you can trade a TE for a RB, go for it. Duce and Bettis are pretty gimpy. Cowher will keep playing Parker unless PArker starts to tank.

In a recent online draft, I saw one of the wierdest drafts ever. I picked #6 in round 1 and nabbed S. Alexander(RB), which I was very happy with at that spot. Than in round 2, I was shocked when E. James fell to me. There was a big run of QB's between my picks including Big Ben going in the late 1'st??? I had planned on taking a QB/WR in the 3rd anyway, but even Farve was gone by then. I grabbed J Horn followed by J Walker, R Wayne, J Porter, A Crumpler, in that order. Needless to say by this time in the draft all the QBs worth having were long gone, so I filled out the rest of my roster with back ups, def and kickers. I then drafted D. Carr and A. Brooks in the last 2 rounds. I feel I did the right thing by going for depth at WR and waiting for the same 2 QB's that I could drafted in rounds 7/8 until the last 2 rounds. My question is: Should I trade for a QB or keep what I think is a otherwise great line up??? Thank you for your time. P.S backups are T Henry/M Anderson RB, and M Pollard TE. K's J Wilkens/ M Stover, Def/ST Bears/Jags. Basic scoring league. Start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, K and Def/ST.

Steve

You have a solid lineup. Give it a few weeks before making trades. Like closers in fantasy baseball, there are always a couple QB's that come out of nowhere and put up surprise numbers. You might already have one of them in Carr. Keep you eyes open for early season surprises and be ready to pounce on free agents. If weeks 3 or 4 rolls around and the QB position is losing you games, then think about a tade.

I have the 7th pick in our draft. Chances are, Moss and Owens will both be there. Should I bite on either?

-Marshall in Buffalo

This is definitely a fuzzy area. If your league runs off all RB's with the first 6 picks, We lean towards yes. There will be good QB's and second tier RB's to be had when the draft comes back to you.

Big Ben worth a pick this year?

- Hank

Heck no. He was worth nothing as a fantasy QB last year, despite how well the team played.

Any reason to not draft LT first?

-Jeff C

Yes. Peyton Manning.

Where would you draft Randy Moss?

-Ross

Hmmm.. tough call. He has to be the top QB going into the draft. We don't think taking him anywhere after the mid way point of round 1 is a bad idea.
